  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt + more for sprinkling
  • 1 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups*

Notes

  1. If you want the cookies to be flat and look like regular chocolate chip cookies on the outside make sure you are using the standard flat, circular Reese’s peanut butter cups rather than the minis!
  2. Every oven is different, so make sure you keep an eye on your cookies. We recommend taking them out right when they have puffed up and just turning golden brown on the edges. The cookies should still be raw in the middle. If you leave them in past this point they will not have that gooey center you’re looking for.
