For the Churros:

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar & dash of spices listed above, for coating

For the Chocolate Sauce:

  • 2 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Notes

Churros are best served straight out of the fryer! However, if you’re saving your churros, you can simply heat them up in a 350°F oven for a few minutes until crispy again!
