Ingredients

Units
  • 2 - 2 1/4 cups bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet of Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Instant Yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup caramelized onions (see notes if you are unsure how to make caramelized onions!)*
  • 5 slices cooked thick cut bacon, cut into 1/4 inch pieces

Instructions

Notes

  1. To caramelize your onions, heat 2 Tablespoons of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add 2 yellow onions sliced into medium size strips (about 1/8 inch thick) and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. If your onions start to get too dry, you can add in a little bit of water to deglaze the pan! The onions are done when they are soft and golden brown in color. Salt too taste!
